Why Some Songs Feel Bigger Than They Should

HOW TO MAKE YOUR SONGS HIT HARDER

Ever notice how some songs feel enormous by the end?

Not louder.

Not more complicated.

Just... bigger.

Most people assume it's repetition.

It isn't.

The secret is accumulation.

Great songwriters don't rely on one image to carry an emotion.

They build an entire ecosystem around it.

A mountain.
A mirror.
A season.
A storm.
A photograph.

Different images.

Same emotional truth.

I call this Stacking Resonance.

It's the difference between writing a lyric and building a world.

In this week's video, I break down how artists like Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac, Pedro the Lion, and Radiohead layer meaning until a song becomes impossible to escape.

Take It to the Writing Room

Pick one emotion:

Longing.
Grief.
Hope.
Anxiety.
Change.

Now write down ten images that remind you of that feeling.

Don't explain them.

Just collect them.

You might discover you're already halfway to your next song.
