Why Most Songwriters Won’t Survive 2026
AI Is Breaking the Music Industry — And the Only Lifeline Left
Hey friends,
I just dropped one of the most important videos I’ve ever made — not because it’s dramatic, but because it’s true.
As we roll into 2026, every songwriter I know is feeling the same pressure:
AI is flooding the industry. Income is collapsing. Algorithms are hostile. Everyone is exhausted.
For years I tried to create alone… and it nearly killed my creativity.
Everything changed when I discovered something we’re all quietly starving for:
Real community.
Not “likes.”
Not followers.
Actual human connection — people who see you, challenge you, collaborate with you, and keep you grounded in a world that’s moving way too fast.
I explain it all in today’s video, along with five reasons why community is the only thing that will keep songwriters alive (creatively and financially) as we head into the most disruptive era our industry has ever seen.
If you watch anything from me this month, make it this one:
I hope it hits you the way making it hit me.
Stay creative.
Stay human.
And I’ll see you in the room.
