HELLO Songwriters & Creators!

I’m a few days late saying this, but I hope you’ve been having an incredible Thanksgiving weekend. Between family time and a massive Black Friday launch I’m helping run, life has been full — in the best way.

But something else has been full lately… everyone’s opinions about AI in music. 😅
So I finally sat down with my wife (also an independent artist) and asked her how she really feels about AI helping create songs.

We ended up having one of the most refreshing conversations we’ve had about music in years.

Here’s my takeaway:
AI can create perfection — but perfection isn’t what moves us.

Humans are beautifully flawed.
It’s the slight tempo variations, the scratch in a vocal, the bend of a guitar string that wasn’t planned… that’s the stuff that makes us feel.

I turned on my camera and expanded the conversation into a full video — including some reactions to the legendary Rick Beato’s take on where things are headed, as well incredible human-made indie music happening right now that the Youtube algorithm so kindly shared with me.
