The Night Music Changed Everything

Hi everyone, I’m a day late on this! We’ve been quite busy of late but I wanted to get a short word and video out to you all today.

Music isn’t just sound. It’s the soundtrack of our lives.

This past weekend, Miranda and I spent two days in the studio with our dear friend John Paul Gentile, an incredible musician and producer. It reminded me of how deeply music is woven into the memories and meaning of our lives.

And tonight (as a birthday gift from my wife), Miranda & I are on our way to see Modest Mouse and The Flaming Lips — two bands that hold sacred space in our story. Modest Mouse was the first band I ever saw with Miranda, before we even started dating. And The Flaming Lips were the band that helped pull me out of heartbreak years earlier — in a moment that changed me forever.

Music has this way of attaching itself to our stories — to the love, the loss, the magic, the connection.
